Coffee shops at both ends of the Melrose Mile are making special love-inspired treats. Copper Star Coffee is offering cherry-chocolate mochas and heart cookies. If raspberry is more your taste, see John Straws at the Refuge, and remember they sell jewelry and other gift-ables hand made by refugees. 80% of those sales benefit community causes. As for more sustainable fare, Restaurant Progress is offering a special menu for tonight’s couples, though Owner T.J. Culp said they’re already booked up for reservations. If it doesn’t rain, last minute daters might find room on the Progress patio. Stacy’s @ Melrose wants to make sure the “Alt-idie” crowd isn’t forgotten, and offering 2-4-1 drinks for those who like “dark, goth-like” music starting at 9 p.m.
