Independence, Melrose Style

There weren’t official plans for the Melrose District this past Independence Day, but that didn’t stop those who are braving Phoenix’s mid-summer heat from celebrating freedom. This Melrose Life hit up some local favorite party spots, including Charlies Night Club and the Station on Central Apartments. We got some photos and food-for-thought about why several people choose to celebrate the U.S.A. in one of Phoenix’s quirkiest neighborhoods! “Hopefully these (new) apartments are bringing people who are about change and wanting to live in a world where everybody is welcome … we’re all just living life and surviving.” – Random partier @ Charlies!  See photos/videos below:
